Employees have the right to work without being harassed

People who experience workplace harassment can take a 'self-help' option to try to put matters right with the perpetrator - preferably using an assertive approach. If this doesn't work, they can ask their line manager to intervene on their behalf.

Line managers must take reasonable steps to prevent discrimination and harassment by responding to complaints when they arise and not tolerating unwelcome and unreasonable behaviours.
