The 2024 Review of Harassment in the Legal Profession in South Australia (PDF, 1.5 MB) was provided to the Attorney-General in December 2024 and publicly released on 23 January 2025.

Background

The 2024 review was undertaken by the Commissioner for Equal Opportunity Jodeen Carney.

This follows and was one of the 16 recommendations (PDF, 138.6 KB) from the 2021 review.

The 2024 review examines the effectiveness of the laws, policies, structures and complaint mechanisms relating to harassment, including sexual harassment, in the South Australian legal profession.

Feedback shows the extent of change over the past 3 years.

Submissions

People were invited to contribute to the review by completing an anonymous online survey or by making a written submission.

The survey and submissions closed at 11.59pm, Sunday 31 March 2024.
