This is the reality for one in six Australians who miss out on the full dining experience due to hearing loss.

The Ambient Menu web app connects people who struggle to hear in background noise to acoustically friendly restaurants - where everyone feels included.

Inspired by her clients' frustration and her discovery that there were few quiet restaurants she could direct them to, Adelaide audiologist, Laura Drexler, developed this important resource.

While it assists some people who are hearing impaired, it may also be of assistance to some neurodivergent people who seek quieter restaurants.

We believe Ambient Menu is a bridge to better social experiences and inclusion for people living with hearing impairment and others who find noisy restaurants difficult.
